UAA rewarded with championship rings

ANCHORAGE – The Alaska Anchorage women's cross country members were awarded their Great Northwest Athletic Conference and West Region championship rings at intermission of Thursday's UAA volleyball game against Drury.

The Seawolves registered a record-breaking season in 2009, winning the GNAC and West Region titles before going on to finish a program-best fifth place at the NCAA Championships.

Receiving rings were then-senior Laura Carr, seniors Emma Bohman and Hallidie Wilt, juniors Shoshana Keegan, Ruth Keino and Alex West and sophomore Miriam Kipng'eno.
