David Kiplagat
Volunteer Coach
Former UAA cross country and track & field star David Kiplagat is in his third season as a volunteer track coach with UAA in 2012.
  A native of Kapsabet, Kenya, Kiplagat graduated from UAA in the spring of 2009 as the most decorated distance runner ever to suit up for the Green & Gold.         In addition to his three All-America awards, Kiplagat was a four-time All-Region honoree and a three-time All-Conference member. In 2006 he captured the individual GNAC cross country title and won the 1,500-meter race at the conference championships in track. Kiplagat returned the following season with a GNAC title in the 5,000 meters.
    Kiplagat earned a bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance and Economics and is pursuing a master’s in public administration.
    He also received five Academic All-Conference accolades during his tenure as a Seawolf.
