SEATTLE, Wash. – The Alaska Anchorage men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams completed the Husky Invitational on Saturday with two provisional NCAA qualifying times in the 4x400-meter relay at Dempsey Indoor.

Both 4x400-meter relays improved on their season times and are now ranked in the top 10 of Div. II. The women’s team crossed the finish line in a school-record time of 3;47.22, by passing its earlier time this season of 3:49.75. The group was made up of Jamie Ashcroft, Vanessa Aniteye, Hayley Bezanson and Mary-Kathleen Cross.

The men’s foursome of Nicholas Taylor, Liam Lindsay, Darrion Gray and Adam Commandeur posted a time of 3:13.75 – the sixth fastest this season in Div. II. Their previous best was 3:16.74.

Also competing today were Tevin Gladden in the high jump with season-best leap of 6-6.75 and Joe Day in the 800 meters (1:53.01).

The Seawolves will continue action tomorrow with the Husky Open.
