2017: INDOOR - Broke 50-second barrier and became seventh-fastest 400-meter individual in UAA history, clocking 49.56 at GNAC Indoor Championships, Feb. 17. OUTDOOR - Finished eighth in the 400 at the GNAC Championships with a time of 50.15 ... competed in five meets ... ran season-bests of 50.04 in the 400 and 23.05 in the 200. 

2016: INDOOR – Competed in GNAC Championships, placing third as member of distance medley relay with time of 10:08.67, helping UAA to team title … also finished 10th in 400 meters with season-best time of 50.50 – ranks seventh all-time on UAA list. OUTDOOR – Raced in 400 meters and 200 meters at league championships, taking seventh in 400 meters at 49.53 and 12th in 200 meters at 22.72 … posted career-best time of 49.37 in 400-meter prelims at GNACs, good for eighth all-time on UAA list … also went 22.54 in 200 meters and 58.81 in 400-meter hurdles.

BEFORE UAA: Competed for West Valley High School in soccer, basketball, and track & field … 3-time Region VI team champion in soccer … basketball team captain as a senior … high school PRs in the 200 meters at 22.911 and 50.30 in the 400 meters where he finished runner-up at state in 2014 … helped team to 4x200 meter Alaska State title in 2014.  

PERSONAL: Born and raised in Fairbanks … son of Jim Remington and Sherry Steffans … has two siblings … mechanical engineering major.
